Happy New Year :)

2009 was a very good year for Daniel Beh Photography, with the 4th Quarter being the busiest!

As we continue to strive and create better photographs for all our upcoming couples, we’d like to thank all our couples who’ve trusted in us documenting their most important day.

2010 will see us changing a fresh new look for our dated website and blog, and also veer more towards wedding photography than commercial works. Not forgetting to bag more awards this year!

Merry Christmas, and it’s been a while!

Merry Christmas to all!

Yup it’s been some time since I updated the blog.. Because the only break in the year - Lunar 7th month saw us doing lots of editing and taking some time off for some traveling. Other than that, I’ve been pretty much been doing weddings after weddings.

During the peak wedding season (4Q of the year), we had to source for a new office space as the Purvis Street office lease ended in November. After calling at least 20 property agents, viewed nothing less than 50 commercial properties, we’ve decided to get a space in Joo Chiat. Now, the space is 4 times larger than our old Purvis Street office, it’s so much more comfortable! (Those who’s been to our Purvis Street office will know  )

Recently, I’ve decided to compile some of my best wedding photos taken over the past couple of months for submission to WPJA Q3 contest. And yesterday when i was preparing to go for my family’s Christmas dinner, I received an email from WPJA. I am pleasantly surprised that 2 of the photos have clinched 12th and 13th places in the ‘Toasting’ and ‘Creative Portrait’ category respectively.

Check out the winning photos :

Creative Portrait

I took this photo during Edmund and Joyce’s wedding day, when we spent half an hour doing a quick shoot at Changi Airport T3.. I don’t think the 3 cleaners know that they are included in the frame haha!

Toasting

This is a wedding I covered in October 2009, and the guy in the photo is a buddy ofthe groom Wilson. Simply hilarious person whom injected lots of fun during the gatecrashing (photos to be shown later!).

Also, congrats to the other fellow Singaporean photographers who clinched some awards too : Eng Hong, Tze Yong and Yu Hsin.

Carlton Hotel Buffet

hee, i’m new here, & i’m called Wendy aka Li-Min~

For those of you who dont know what i’m talking about, pls refer to Han Kiang & Shu Rong’s entry posted on 4th June’09 ^^v.

lolx, hah the collection of photos above is taken at one of e many buffets we go to…! hee, this one is pretty good; alil pricey but there’s discount with UOB card (so bring your cards along gentlemen!!) the dinner spread is pretty alright. FAVOURITES:

1. tom-yam soup which comes with loads of mushroom, chix & tomatoes (hee you mustn’t turn up too late lah~) is delicious & not too spicy, which i believe is cuz they take into consideration that there are ppl of other nationalities who might not be so accustomed to spicy food as compared to the most of us (i had 3bowls..) ^^v

2. stir-fry veg with mushrooms was pretty standard too; i like veges so not too bad

3. Daniel adores the fresh OYSTERS; what more can i say, its really fresh according to him (i dont like raw things… ><) sorry i cant appreciate, but you guys should really try it! =)

uh.. thats about all I have to say bout dinner, it wasn’t alot of variety.. Oh oh, almost forgot bout the stingray & Peking Duck (which came wrapped with durian paste in it.. uh dont ask me, try to see if you like it; acquired taste)

BUT… you really have to like keep aside half the space in your tummy to try e desserts! (literally, i’m serious i mean it) just look at the spread..! =) worth mentioning is the Durian Choco Fudge Cake~ one word: Heavenly~ then there’s e usual chocolate fondue which is umm delicious esp with e dried apricots. and then and then, as if you’re not seeing enough desserts (indoors) made w durians, you have to head out & savour some real DURIANS!!! (i’m not kidding, they open it right in front of you; no offence to those who dont like it  hee, we asked for only one fruit to share, but there was some miscommunication & the two chefs there ended up opening one each, so we were left w no choice but to attempt finishing two! (pls dont try that unless you’re still hungry for more; we almost threw up, & we didn’t even finish; sry, tried..)

I was so bloated I didnt even see e durian ice-cream sitting at one corner.. >< Daniel couldnt even drink any water. hee

kz its really late, i’ve typed plenty, sry peepz thank u for reading (if you have..) needa go i’m off to e airport tmr, so tata! for more buffet-ades (escapades lah~ use ur imagination.. :p jk hee) STAY TUNED~ Daniel says if you know of any great places for makan/buffets, pls do let us know~ =) in case u still dont know, we really love to eat!!

good night~

loves, Wendy
